Black Agenda Radio · Turmoil in Congo Creates Public Dispute Between South Africa and Rwanda Presidents

Maurice Carney is Executive Director of Friends of the Congo . He joins us from Washington to provide an update on the crisis in Congo. Since he last appeared on Black Agenda Radio the capital city of Kinshasa was roiled by attacks on the US, French, Rwandan, Ugandan, and Belgian embassies. In addition, president Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa had a very public dispute with Rwanda’s president Paul Kagame after South African soldiers were killed in the battle for Goma in eastern Congo. Maurice Carney provides an update on this situation.
