There is no starvation
Raymond Nat Turner, BAR poet-in-residence

Emaciated child in Gaza

Firstly, the world’s most moral snipers would never target

Practice on razor wire-trapped, hungry hunters and

Gatherers of food! No Center Mass Monday; Testicle Tuesday;

Headshot Wednesday; Left Knee Thursday; Right Foot Friday!

Secondly, there is no starvation.

No one is starving.

They’re faking famine—

Their hunger’s a hoax!

Thirdly, the sunken faces; the ribs revealed

Beneath leathery skin; the babies with

Breadstick legs—too weak to walk on—

Those are actors!

Talented actors in costume. Acting hungry.

Faking famine.

Baby formula flows freely through tunnels

Beneath their hospitals!

There is no starvation.

No one is starving.

Why, it’s probably AI—

It’s all a bold face lie!

Their children are not starving.

Their intake of nutrients—of

Calories— is high. Among the

Highest in all of human history!

Growling bellies, wasting bodies,

Rashes on red bottoms of babies

Conceal chronic, congenital

Conditions, likely generated by AI.

There is no starvation.

No one is starving.

Why, it’s probably AI—

It’s all a bold face lie!

No systematic starvation campaign.

No policy of collective punishment.

No weaponization of water. There’s

Plenty to drink, and cook and wash with!

There are two things that

We abhor and despise—

One is half-truths—the

Other is bold face lies!
